A student of late Shri Kavalam Narayana Panikkar (K.N.Panikkar), Girish has 38 Years’ experience as an actor in Sopanam Theatre Group,Thiruvananthapuram. He has played important roles in Sanskrit, Malayalam, Hindi & English plays directed by Kavalam Narayana Panikkar and others.
Girish has assisted Shri K. N. Panikkar and also independently Directed and Choreographed Sopanam productions and other productions as well. He has participated in many Regional and National theatre festivals and been a resource person in workshops conducted by Regional and National Sangeet Natak Academy, S. C. E. R. T, etc.
Girish has also won many awards including the first Bharath Gopi Award, Senior Fellowship of Cultural Department, Kerala Sangeet Natak Academy Award and the National Sangeet Natak Academy Award for Acting -2018
